Amen brother this is a powerful reminder that in the last days people will be lovers of themselves lovers of money and lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God just as Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:1-5 but the answer has not changed God has given us His Word which is living and active sharper than any two edged sword Hebrews 4:12 it teaches reproves corrects and trains us in righteousness so that the man of God may be complete 2 Timothy 3:16-17 Jesus Himself said heaven and earth will pass away but My words will never pass away Matthew 24:35 when the world shifts and culture bends God’s Word stands firm that is why James 1:22 urges us not just to hear the Word but to do it applying its truth daily and as Psalm 119:105 says Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path in a dark and godless world only Scripture can keep us steady close to God and ready for every good work
God's Word is the final authority and it will not move. I'm thankful that it doesn't sway with cultural shifts and all the rest. People will say that it does, but I believe that God's Word is sufficient and God knew where we would be 2,000 years later and He superintended it to be relevant and helpful for us today.
While not written "to us" it was certainly written "for us."
Absolutely God’s Word is indeed unchanging and eternal as Psalm 119:89 reminds us Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven and Isaiah 40:8 says The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever even though it was written thousands of years ago it is living and active as Hebrews 4:12 tells us For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart it is sufficient for every generation 2 Timothy 3:16-17 teaches us All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching for reproof for correction and for training in righteousness that the man of God may be complete thoroughly equipped for every good work we can trust it fully for guidance hope and wisdom today
