As I read this I kept thinking of the Screwtape Letters and how much easier it is for evil to tempt us with shiny things that don’t feel evil and yet still draw us away from God.
Absolutely. I haven't read the Screwtape letters yet, but I did listen to the audiobook version last year and I found it incredibly insightful. At the least it made me ponder how the enemy of our souls might be more at work in the day-to-day than we expect and certainly not in the classic red face and horns approach but through little things, as Paul said he appears as an angel of light!
