I agree with everything you wrote. Babylon could also be Jerusalem, representing Israel’s unfaithfulness, which the prophets pointed out endlessly.

The imagery can definitely be interpreted in lots of different ways, I'm thankful that the takeaways are pretty clear for the believer either way. That has been where I've been hanging my hat in this series!

Thanks for the thought-provoking reply! From "will good triumph" to "when will good triumph" is an awesome take. I'll be pondering that.

The self-destruction of evil held in the sovereign hand of God is a great encouragement to me from this passage.
